Why a Fuel Water Separator Matters

Water and dirt in diesel fuel can damage injectors and high-pressure fuel pumps. A fuel water separator removes free water and fine contaminants before the fuel reaches the engine. Regular replacement helps prevent hard starting, power loss and costly injector repairs, especially on long-haul trucks that refuel from different sources.

Why Choose IXIN’s FS1007 Fuel Water Separator

  • Factory-Direct Supply: IXIN manufactures filters in its own factory in Linxi County, Hebei. You deal with the manufacturer, not a trading company.
  • Wide Cross-Brand Coverage: One FS1007 fuel water separator replaces Fleetguard, Cummins, Donaldson and WIX references, which helps distributors simplify inventory.
  • Large Spin-On Format: The self-contained spin-on body is replaced as one unit, so service is quick and clean.
  • Customization Available: We support customization of filter paper quality, metal thickness and packaging for your market.
  • Fast Delivery: In-stock items usually ship in 5 to 10 days. Made-to-order items take 15 to 45 days, depending on quantity.

To avoid cross-reference mistakes, read our fuel filter cross reference guide before placing a bulk order.

Installation and Maintenance Notes

  1. Switch off the engine and let it cool. Close the fuel shutoff valve if fitted.
  2. Place a drain pan under the filter, and drain the water from the separator if a drain is fitted.
  3. Disconnect the water sensor, if fitted, and remove the old filter with a suitable filter wrench.
  4. Check that the old gasket came off with the filter. A leftover gasket can cause leaks.
  5. Clean the mounting surface, and lightly oil the gasket of the new FS1007 fuel water separator.
  6. Spin the new filter on by hand until the gasket touches, then tighten as specified by the engine manufacturer.
  7. Reconnect the water sensor, prime the fuel system according to the engine manual, start the engine, and check for leaks.
  8. Replace the filter at the interval recommended by the engine maker, and sooner when using poor-quality fuel.
