Installation and Maintenance Notes

1. Switch off the engine and let it cool. Close the fuel shutoff valve if fitted.
2. Place a drain pan under the housing, and drain the water from the separator if a drain is fitted.
3. Open the housing according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and remove the old cartridge element.
4. Clean the inside of the housing and check the gasket and seals. Replace worn seals.
5. Install the new FS20313 fuel water separator cartridge, making sure it seats correctly in the housing.
6. Close the housing and prime the fuel system according to the engine manual.
7. Start the engine, check for leaks, and replace the filter at the interval recommended by the engine maker. Replace sooner when using poor-quality fuel.
